AAPS Launced Phase 2 of Aerial Adventure at Lake Guntersville State Park
Outdoor adventure seekers and families, alike, are flocking to Lake Guntersville State Park to enjoy the park’s new Aerial Adventure and Zipline Tour. The state park and American Adventure Park Systems held the grand opening today for phase two of the park’s new zipline canopy tour. The tour offers adventure seekers the chance to zipline through the park’s beautiful scenery and get an eagle’s eye view of the lake with lines that are up to 2-thousand feet in length - as much as 250 feet high – and at speeds as fast as 50 miles per hour. Zipline Manager Blake Lindsey says that the tour can be fun for the whole family. The Alabama State Park System teamed up with Historic Banning Mills and American Adventure Parks Systems to create the largest zipline course in Alabama at Lake Guntersville State Park. A-A-P-S builds and designs zipline tours all over the world and is also planning and designing ziplines for Wind Creek State Park, Desoto State Park and Cheaha State Park. Alabama State Parks District Superintendent Michael Jeffreys says that the addition of the zipline tour at Lake Guntersville is a dream come true and that, with more than twenty ziplines and eight sky walks, the Screaming Eagle Tour is a true aerial adventure.
